CITES / Wildlife notice

The collection contains specimens that are listed in CITES Appendices I, II and III. All such specimens are kept with full documentation. No CITES-listed specimen is offered for sale through this site.

For corals, recording at the genus level is acceptable when species is not reliably determinable; such records are treated as CITES-applicable until a species-level determination is completed.

The site never publishes precise coordinates of sensitive localities. A masked-locality flag indicates that a curator has redacted the locality for conservation reasons.
